Very nice place. Great location in the middle of Perugia’s historic center. Managed by Anna a friendly lady that was always available to answer any question I could have. I’m looking forward to return.

Central, comfortable, welcoming, a lovely place to stay in an amazing and surprising city. The helpful, friendly and make-yourself-at-home hostess- and the breakfast was amazing. Everything was super. Maria Antonia from Malta

I spent two months in one of the apartment B&B's, and can vouch for Anna always being available to help should any questions come up. She was a very gracious hostess! The apartment is in an ideal location, as it's only a 5 minute walk from Corso Vannucci, the heart of the city. I was even allowed to keep my small dog with me, which I greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend any of Anna's B&B's for a stay in Perugia, long or short as it might be.

I stayed in Perugia for a month to learn Italian. Anna is an amazing host, she picked me up from the station and made my stay in Perugia even more wonderful. The room was lovely and the location was perfect, really close to the centre of the city centre. Anna took me and other guests to the sea and also for the tour around closests towns, which was extremly nice. Honestly, I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Perugia. Grazie mille Anna

We stayed for two weeks in September in one of Anna's apartments. It was spacious, comfortable and perfectly located in the historic centre of Perugia. We were very close to all of the beautiful piazzas in Perugia, and could easily walk to any of the beautiful churches and historical sites. In addition, we were minutes away from a Mercator and a co-op store for our groceries. Anna is a lovely person. She responded very quickly to any inquiries we had and was very helpful with information whenever we needed it. She had stocked our apartment with coffee, pastries, spices and other food items, as well as many toiletries. We really had everything we needed. Anna even very kindly transported us to the train station on our departure. Thank you again, Anna! Perugia is truly a beautiful, ancient town full of history and magnificent art. It is a an excellent starting point for travelling to other cities and towns in Umbria. Anna's apartment is conveniently located to bus and train travel to all of these other towns. We were very happy that we chose to stay at Alessi B & B. It was perfect in every way.

Staying for a month, I neither wanted a hotel nor a regular rented room; this was perfectly in between. Anna explained me in detail how to get at the apartment, and she was there to show me in on my night of arrival. She even invited me over for some genuine 'cucina italiana' with her and her family! Apart from that, my room and the apartment were what I was looking for: a clean kitchen, a fine bathroom, and everything was working properly. Thanks for the good time :)

Grazie Anna!

I have been several times at the B & B of Anna. She is very kind and is well informed about the possibilities to visit the touristic attractions in Perugia and Umbrië. The B & B has a central position in Perugia. Nice rooms and a good atmosphere. Next time when I visit Perugia I will be at this B & B again. That is for sure.

“the best time spent in Italy” It was my first time in Italy, I was looking for apartment in Perugia and I found Anna on and it was really great thing because she could offer me room to stay for my language course period. I was living there with three other girls from this course. Everything was fine. Anna is very a positive person, very nice and helpfull. She invited us for some dinner and informed about interesting events which had taken place in Perugia. We could ask her about everything! And she speaks english what made me feel better although I wanted to practice italian, but it's always more confortable if you know that in case of any problem you can comunicate in language you know better. The day when I arrived was a bit stresfull for me, because I had problem with a train and when I reached Perugia minimetro was closed, but Anna saved my life and picked me up from the station. I am very happy that I had a possibility to visit Perugia! It is a realy nice town with small streets and amazing atmosphere. What's more Anna lives in perfect place and it's realy close to every place! And it's also great point to start trip visiting Umbria. I can really recomend you Anna and Perugia!

“Everything about Anna's guest house is special” I first visited Perugia two years ago to learn Italian (at the excellent Lingua in Corso). I chose Perugia because didn't know anyone there (helpful when learning a language) and had heard it was beautiful. Before leaving London, Anna and I exchanged several emails, and she was always helpful and courteous. What I hadn't expected was that she'd collect me from the station (the wrong station, miles from Perugia because I'd got lost) and be unfailingly kind and friendly for the rest of my stay, cooking tasty meals for the other guests and me, while chatting away in Italian. Staying at the guest house was always convivial, I had company when needed, but was left to study quietly and undisturbed in my room at other times. The elegant bedroom had a painted wooden ceiling, and a marvellously comfortable bed. Some afternoons Anna and Carlo accompanied me around town, to look at the historical and artistic sights of Perugia. I've just returned back from my third visit,. Anna has now moved into an even nicer apartment, light spacious and in an incredibly central location. My room was bright and cheerful, with a lovely view. But I'd recommend staying in any of Anna's rooms, because she takes care to keep them clean, warm and welcoming. You won't regret choosing Alessi B and B.... “My home in Perugia” I spent a month at Alessi BnB while I studied Italian. Staying at Anna's Apartment was amazing, it was the perfect location for everything, it was clean and homely, and had everything I needed. My bed was very comfortable, and I felt as if I was at home. Anna and her family had us over for dinner twice in our stay, and they where very helpful in suggesting places to go, tips for Perugia and encouraging us to practice our Italian! I loved my stay in Perugia, and I cant wait to go back and visit Alessi BnB. Thank you Anna! Consiglio sulle camere: I stayed in the large room at the back, It was perfect Ha soggiornato in Gennaio 2014, viaggiato da solo

“Our home away from home!” Recensito il 14 settembre 2011 per un soggiorno a Agosto 2011 We stayed in this apartment for a month in august and found it to be comfortable and well located. Our landlady Anna was a great help and had fitted out the apartment with everything you could need. The apartment was full of character and was right in the center of the historical centre of town. It was walking distance to just about everything. The other bonus to this apartment was that it was on the ground floor and was easily accessible with suitcases. We loved staying here and it felt like home to us by the end of the month. I should warn you that this apartment is not 5 star luxury but definitely comfortable and homely. We really enjoyed our stay here.

“Beautiful Accommodations” Recensito il 31 ottobre 2011 per un soggiorno a Maggio 2010 This apartment is very spacious and very historic. Everything is very clean and it comes with two full baths and two full bedrooms; both with kingsized beds. The kitchen contains everything that is necessary and there is plenty of hot water. The owner is extremely accommodating and I would highly recommend this apartment. Its location is very close to the centre of Town and within walking distance to the University and many historic sites. I would not hesitate to stay there again should I travel to Perugia.

“a charming, peaceful, old-world place to stay in the old town of Perugia” Recensito il 8 agosto 2013 My family had a very sucessful stay at Anna's place in Via del Bufalo in Perugia for two weeks this July while my son attended the Berklee Jazz Clinics. Getting into the old part of Pergugia is a challenge with suitcases but Anna met us below the city walls, showed us where to park and then in her little car packed with our things and us, dropped us off as close as possible to the apartment. It was then no more than a minute's walk to the front door. (If you arrive by bus or train or use one of the main car parks to the south of the city, you have no choice but to use a series of escalators which bring you up through the foundations of the city to Piazza Italia, and again the apartment is a short walk from there. This is very much worth mentioning, as certainly in a family sized car, the roads are simply too narrow to get through and many are only open to residents at certain times of the day.) Via del Bufalo is a haven of quiet yet is just a minute's walk to the main piazzas where most of the activity in the old town is happening. As you walk north into the old town along Via Luigi Bonzani, a shady cool throughfare, which has at least two chocolate shops, a couple of cafes and icecream shops as well as jewelery/gift/clothing shops and a restaurant along it, Via del Bufalo drops down to your left, and the apartment is in a neat building in front of you as the street opens into a charming little courtyard. Inspite of there being commercial activity within a minute's walk of the front door, we were never disturbed by noise. The apartment is remarkably cool and quiet. Every now and again we would hear some music floating over the roof tops to us from the music school where our son was playing, (a 5 minute walk) and even at night when the concerts were full on, we could hardly hear them or the crowds, which is fortunate as some go quite late. In our whole stay we were never disturbed by the city's noise. Although the apartment is on the ground floor, the two large bedrooms (with copious linens and towels) have lovely views through elegant windows over the long roof of what I think was a monastry at one point. From the living room window the view is of archways, geraniums on balconies and a pretty winding side street. I never had a moment's worry about security. The building itself is clearly very old, with some gothic arched windows now filled in on the inside, but still evident on the rear outside walls. The apartment itself is full of character, with antique furniture and original fittings everywhere, an old herringbone wooden parquet and terracotta tiled floors, barrel vaulted ceilings, tall shuttered windows and a lovely quiet, sleepy atmosphere. I was delighted because my daughter and I needed a place to read and rest after a long journey, and it was perfect. The bathrooms, (one with a bath, the other with a shower) and kitchen, while small and not super modern, worked well for 4 of us. The cooker top takes some getting used to, and while I wouldn't attempt a three course dinner, it was fine. Anna worries about the electrics, which I know from experience can often be a headache in old buildings in Italy, but we never had a problem, with plenty of hotwater whenever we needed it. The internet signal in the apartment is wireless and strong and we always had celphone coverage. I had some car difficulties on a Friday evening during our stay and Anna could not have been more helpful and suportive, coming to find me, and not leaving my side until she knew we were mobile again. She was also full of ideas of places to go and what to see in the city, and I felt she was available if I needed anything at all. If you are looking for a charming, peaceful old-world place to stay in the old town of Perugia, with easy access, and great on-site back up, I would highly recommend the apartment at Via del Bufalo to you.

I stayed in Perugia for almost two months for a pastry course and decided to rent a room in one of Anna's apartments. It was a very pleasant stay in a very homey apartment. Central location, comfortable bed and Anna was available whenever there was a problem or an issue to solve. I definitely felt at home while I was there!

We spent a wonderful month with Anna while we attended the Lingua in Corso school which was just a short walk away in the centre of town. The facilities at her b&b were excellent and were always kept spotlessly clean. Anna prepared our evening meals, 2 sometimes 3 courses of restaurant quality food and good wine. Over dinner we practiced our Italian, and she helped us translate our homework. We took the Italian lessons very seriously and found this an ideal way to learn. Anna and her Partner Carlo took us to Rome and other sites of interest and acted as our interpreter and personal tour guide respectively. We found Anna to be a wonderful person and she became more like a close friend than a b&b host, she was never intrusive, but was always willing to help if asked. We have not stayed at a b&b before, but highly recommend a stay with Anna. You won't be sorry.

Wonderful stay in Perugia. The b&b has a very central position, so close to all amenities and touristic attractions. Beautiful palace entrance, nice room , with an amazing atmosphere of old times. The landlady was kind and available to any of our needs, she gave suggestions about places to see and things to do in the town. Thank you very much. We hope to be here again!
